Bahman Azarm, Founder
Growing up in the mountains of Switzerland gave Bahman Azarm a love of the outdoors and of physical challenge that he employs every day as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Outdoor Venture Group, (also known as “Outdoor Ventures”) a post he assumed in 2008.
During a visit to Switzerland in 2006 Bahman witnessed his first aerial forest park and knew immediately he had to bring this phenomenon to the United States. Utilizing his 20 years of previous experience in the construction business, combined with the expertise of an experienced team imported from Switzerland, Bahman built his first aerial forest park—The Catamount Aerial Adventure Park at Catamount Ski Area in Massachusetts. It was also the first of its kind in the United States and an immediate success.
Since the opening of the park at Catamount, Bahman has supervised the design and construction of dozens more aerial forest parks throughout the United States, with more on the horizon from “the man who brought the aerial forest park to the USA.
When my family and I climbed our first Adventure Park in Switzerland all those years ago, not only was it a wonderful activity for us to share, but my wife and I noticed the experience really caught our daughter’s imagination in a way that gave her new enthusiasm for outdoor recreation that has stayed with her ever since. From that moment on I knew I wanted to bring the Adventure Park experience to the United States.
